Hunger Coalition
Hunger Coalition provides students opportunities to offer up a meal on Wednesday evenings for someone less fortunate through the Give-a-Meal initiative. Volunteers then assemble sack lunches on Friday afternoons and deliver the meals on Saturday mornings.
Hunger Coalition volunteers also visit Kansas City twice a month to work with the homeless on the streets of Kansas City with an all-volunteer group called Uplift, Inc. We go down first Mondays of the month and second Saturdays. If you are interested, contact Dr. Coronado.
Finally, Hunger Coalition volunteers also have the opportunity to tutor at the public grade school, Atchison Elementary School.
